History

Built in 1967 it is one of the first highway Motels in Uganda (Motel Agip then), hence it remains a landmark of the legendary Italian Oil company (AGIP) 

 Privatized in 1995, the Motel was owned registered under Maendeleo Company trading company with a new name Agip Motel in 1989.

 Agip Motel Officially opened its gates to the public in 1999.

Owned and run by Ugandans the proprietors of this first end Boutique accommodation facility, have many years of experience in running and operating various business interests.

 The main services include provision of Safari and Leisure accommodation, restaurant, catering services, conference facilities and celebration amphitheaters at Agip Motel Mbarara and Rukungiri Inn.

The company also owns a safari company (zebu Safaris)
